The Newbern is a historic apartment building in Kansas City, Missouri, originally known as the Peacock Hotel. Built between 1921 and 1923, it features two nine-story towers connected by a one-story vaulted hall, giving it a U-shaped layout. Designed in the Sullivanesque style, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Today, it offers modern apartment living with amenities like stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
